Why SMART employees make m stakes
Wait! SMART employees making mistakes? Sounds like an oxymoron, but it is not. Unfortunately, no matter how much regulated industries follow the legislation requirements by making sure that operators, specialists, and managers had proper education and training – there still remains an unsatisfactory amount of discrepancies recorded.? Didn’t these academic and/or experienced personnel have relevant testing after training? Well, YES. And most of them do understand the importance of patient/customer safety from the purchase of raw materials, into manufacturing, and up to the doorstep of the end user.
But Why?
Well, we have forgotten to factor in the most important variable - that these SMART employees are social creatures who value social factors. Here we will define social factors as the situations and/or circumstances that are responsible for affecting an employee’s work efficacy.
The 3BMethod is a social concept that explains the phenomenon around the recurrence of human error by expanding itself into three social factors which support the explanation of the repetitious occurrences around undesirable behavior. Each social factor narrows in on relevant constructs that gives a specific category and precise classification of each error reasoning. Learning the 3BMethod is the first step to preventing recurrence of human error.
